THE PROBLEM
Helping your field service teams collect richer data without investing time to customize your ProntoForms experience can be tricky. It can be a challenge to map repeat sections to a SharePoint list(s) without having to transform your data. In some cases, this is possible with a complex workaround, but it involves several steps, creating dependencies and risks for citizen developers.
OUR SOLUTION
With native support for repeat sections for customers on Advanced or Enterprise Tiers, it is now much easier for citizen developers to get structured, repeatable data into a SharePoint list. This feature will save a considerable amount of time.
A single SharePoint List Repeatable Data Destination will handle all of the rows in a specified repeatable section.
Rather than updating each row’s destination, it’s now possible to edit a single destination if a configuration changes on SharePoint and have it reflected across the board. Configure one repeatable destination and connect it to multiple parent destinations, rather than having to create hundreds of destinations to account for any possible repeatable section row entries.
Reuse this destination across multiple forms to create new or update existing items in SharePoint lists and collect additional data. You can also adapt this feature for more complex workflows, such as sending data from multiple repeat sections or forms to a single SharePoint list, among other use cases.
Line of business owners will appreciate our SharePoint List Repeatable Data Destination for its ability to automate data capture and richer data collection, as well as present this information in a format they’re already familiar with. The ability to connect this data with analytics tools such as Power BI is another bonus.
