Platform Basics
TrueContext allows you to intuitively capture field data in real time while simultaneously delivering the right information to the right technician at the right time through adaptive workflows.
It provides organizations a platform for enhancing and broadening their service capabilities by automating day-to-day administration, enabling you to improve productivity and safety in the field. The low-code architecture empowers in-house workflow designers to build, iterate, and deploy mobile workflows rapidly – eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming software development.
Workflows
Workflows are mapped sequences of actions that need to be performed to complete any given job. They can be as simple or complex as your operation requires. With conditional logic, TrueContext allows you to deploy the most streamlined workflows with the least required steps to your field users. Workflows are usually planned as flow charts and operationalized through the Form Builder.
Form Builder and FormSpaces
The Form Builder is a visual tool that workflow designers use to build forms which are then deployed to technicians via the mobile app. These forms are organized through FormSpaces, which groups workflows based on business unit, location, or function. User access can be managed and customized through your FormSpaces, which gives access to mobile users once the forms have been saved and deployed. For form building basics, please click here.
Mobile App
The TrueContext app is how your technicians perform your field workflows. It allows your teams to capture data intuitively and provides guidance on the most optimized approach to complete the job. The mobile app adapts based on asset and workflow, has full offline capability, and is multi-language capable (available in the Enterprise tier).

Phases of Workflow Design
Discovery
This phase involves learning how to think about your field workflows and getting familiarized with best-practice examples in the Community Workflow Library. It also identifies the challenges, stakeholders, and possible areas of improvement in existing workflows and processes.
Solution Design
The design phase involves mapping the processes and workflows you need for your field operations. It determines where forms and data capture would figure in larger technician workflows, such as installations, maintenance, and inspections. In this stage, you also investigate integration possibilities with your back-office platforms including the direction and consolidation of your data.
Build
The workflow-building phase is where concepts from discovery and solution design are implemented through the TrueContext platform. FormSpaces are set up, data capture forms created, and back-office systems integrated during this stage.
User Acceptance Testing
During UAT, a separate testing FormSpace is created and licenses are provisioned to software testers. This process allows your designers to refine draft workflows based on user feedback.
Change Management
You’ve done the hard work, now it’s time to go live and get stakeholder support. This phase lays out the necessary steps to successfully manage process and technological change within your organization.
