Alvaro Pombo Founder and CEO
Alvaro Pombo brings two decades of leadership and telecommunications experience to TrueContext. As CEO, he continues to play a fundamental
role in driving strategy and is active in research and development, product strategy, and business development.
Prior to founding TrueContext, Pombo was CIO and Vice President of Global Information Technology
for the Carrier Internetworking Division of Alcatel. He joined the company via its acquisition
of Newbridge Networks (Feb 2000; $7.1B). Pombo had been Vice President of eCommerce and Director
of Electronic Marketing with Newbridge. Under his leadership, the company's e-business
organization gained recognition as one of the highlights of the acquisition and helped establish a
service-oriented model for the company.
Pombo has served as consultant to Palm and other technology leaders, and continues to help nurture
entrepreneurs and innovation.
Pombo holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. Additionally he
holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa and an executive degree from Georgetown University.
David J. Greenwood CFO and President
David Greenwood has over 20 years of proven financial management and leadership in telecom and software.
Most recently, Greenwood served as Senior Vice President of Operations, North America, for Orchestream, a leading provider of service assurance and
IP provisioning software. He came to the company via its earlier acquisition of CrossKeys Systems Corporation, a leading service assurance software
company. As CFO of CrossKeys, Greenwood played a key role in the company's initial public offering on NASDAQ and the TSX and led a number of key
acquisitions and divestitures.
Prior to CrossKeys, he held progressively senior financial management positions with SHL Systemhouse, a global systems integration company.
Greenwood holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lakehead University and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Tim Moran Senior Vice President, Sales
Tim Moran brings more than twenty years of telecommunications sales and business development experience to the leadership team at TrueContext.
Prior to joining TrueContext Moran spent nearly three years with Spotwave Wireless where he was responsible for creating and implementing the indirect
channel and direct to operator sales strategies. Additionally, he has held senior sales management roles with EF Data Corporation, Adaptive Broadband
and interWAVE Wireless. The breadth of his roles in newly formed and emerging companies is enhanced by more than a decade of progressively responsible
positions in finance, business development and sales with Motorola, Inc. Moran's path to TrueContext also includes the successful formation of sales
channels in more than thirty countries worldwide.
Moran graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland and holds professional negotiation certifications from Federal Publications, LLC
and George Washington University.
Dave Dwyer Vice President, Research and Development
Dave Dwyer brings over 15 years of software development experience to TrueContext.
Prior to joining TrueContext in 2006, he was Senior Manager, Software Quality Assurance at Adobe System Canada with responsibility for the LiveCycle
family of forms based products. Prior to Adobe's acquisition of JetForm, Dwyer held progressively senior positions in the R&D organization at JetForm
culminating in Director of Quality Assurance. At JetForm and Adobe, Dwyer's product focus was on Business Process Automation and Electronic Forms
products.
Dwyer holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Carleton University.
Claire Toplis Director, Product and Program Management
Claire Toplis has over 20 years of technical and business leadership experience in product management and similar roles in the telecommunications and IT industries.
Prior to joining TrueContext, Toplis was Director, Information Management at CGI Inc, where she product managed the portfolio of practice solutions and
program managed all significant practice projects. As Director, Product Management at Nortel, Toplis had responsibility for a $500M US revenue portfolio
with a global customer base. Prior to that she spent over a dozen years in leadership roles in Research and Development at Nortel, responsible for programs
with annual budgets of up to $40M. Over the years, she has consistently demonstrated a talent for improving the bottom line by focusing on quality,
profitability and employee development.
Toplis holds a Bachelors of Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) from Queen’s University.
Paul Dunn Director, Operations
Paul Dunn brings over 20 years of software development and operations experience to TrueContext.
Prior to joining TrueContext in 2005, he held several positions with increasing responsibility at BNR/Nortel, CrossKeys Systems Corporation (acquired by
Orchestream) and Espial Group Inc. During this time Paul worked closely with customers to understand business requirements, define and deliver appropriate
solutions, and provide ongoing support. With a solid foundation in solutions design and strong customer focus, Paul headed the Professional Services
organization at Espial Group Inc. and the Multi-Vendor Network Management team at CrossKeys where he worked closely with companies as diverse as Verizon,
Bezeq, Ericsson, Motorola, Siemens, Newbridge/Alcatel, OnCommand, LodgeNet, Kyocera, Sumitomo and Sony.
Dunn holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo with honours in Computer Science as well as Combinatorics & Optimization.
